Best outdoor gifts for her

An "America the Beautiful" annual pass features a vibrant image of a colorful lizard on a rock, with text indicating its use for National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands, set against a yellow background with a topographical map pattern.

America the Beautiful Pass  – National Parks

Products can be nice, but meaningful experiences will last a lifetime. Give the gift of an entire year of adventure that she’ll remember for years to come with the America the Beautiful (National Parks) Pass. Just one pass gets you into every National Park & Monument, as well as National Forests, Grasslands, and plenty of other recreation sites across the country.

A slip-on shoe features an orange quilted design, beige fabric around the ankle, a textured sole, a small loop on the back, and a logo tag on the side against a teal background with subtle wave patterns.

Camping Slippers

I hate having cold feet while we’re camping (or any time!), which is why a pair of cozy slippers with sturdy soles are a must at the campsite.

A folded gray wool blanket with colorful red, yellow, and green stripes against an orange patterned background, featuring a leather patch sewn onto one corner.

Pendleton Yakima Camp Blanket

I received a Pendleton blanket a few years back and it has accompanied me on many camping trips since. The Yakima Camp Blanket is made from a wool-cotton blend, so it carries the warmth of wool while still feeling soft.

Two colorful towels: the left with an abstract landscape in green, orange, yellow, and black segments; the right with a stylized sunset featuring a white mountain and buffalo silhouettes, both on a vibrant green textured background.

Nomadix Quick Dry Towel

The Nomadix quick-drying towels are great to have on camping trips, or to roll up and carry on a hike in case there is a lake to jump into! We love that these towels are made of recycled water bottles, and they come in a bunch of fun National Parks designs.

This hoodie is absolutely AMAZING. The buttery soft, moisture-wicking, breathable fabric is a dream to wear (I’ve basically lived in it since buying this). This pullover is a perfect mid-layer for shoulder-season day hikes.

Sun Protective Hiking Shirt

A quick-drying and sun-protective shirt is a great way to manage sun exposure on the trail without having to apply and reapply buckets of sunscreen. There are a number of options on the market—our favorites are the REI Sahara Shade and the Mountain Hardwear Crater Lake Hoodie (pictured).

A brown leather Chelsea boot with pull tabs and elastic side panels is shown against a bright green, patterned background, featuring a sturdy black sole.

Blundstone Chelsea Boots

These rugged yet comfortable Blundstone Chelsea boots can take a beating around camp and still look great walking around town. They also make an insulated version which I personally own and love.

The Vuori Clementine Shorts were my pick for our JMT backpacking trip!

Vuori Clementine Shorts

Vouri’s Clementine shorts are my personal favorites for hiking, running, and water sports because they are lightweight and super quick to dry. They also come in a longer, 4” inseam size. These would be a great addition to any outdoorsy woman’s closet.

Kula Cloth

It might seem weird to gift someone what is colloquially referred to as a “pee cloth” but let me tell ya… I would be stoked to receive one! The Kula Cloth is an antimicrobial, rinseable pee cloth that eliminates the need for TP or drip drying (after #1). It discreetly folds and clips on the back of a pack to dry between uses or rinses, and when used correctly, doesn’t hold onto odor and is totally sanitary. Every gal I’ve talked to on trail that uses one loves it!

A brown hiking boot with red laces and a red interior is set against an orange background with abstract line patterns, featuring a black sole with blue and red accents.

Xero Shoes Ridgeland Hiking Boots

These waterproof hiking boots have all the right aesthetics for stylish hikers… AND they are comfortable and functional. These boots have a wide toe box to give feet room to naturally spread (which helps prevent blisters), are lightweight, and have just enough over-the-ankle support without feeling bulky.

Cotopaxi Allpa 35L Travel Pack

This best-selling travel pack from Cotopaxi is perfect for an adventurous gal on the go. It has a rugged exterior but still looks sleek, so it will fit in whether her travels take her to the city or somewhere off the beaten path. I love that it meets most carry on requirements and the flat-loading design to make paking even easier.

Two smartphones display a hiking app: the left screen shows "Best views nearby" with an image of a scenic lake and trail types, while the right screen shows a trail map with elevation details and a visible "Download Map" button.

AllTrails Pro

This is one of our go-to hiking apps for finding new hikes and helping us navigate on the trail. Buying an AllTrails Pro subscription is a great gift idea because it gives you the ability to use the GPS function that is built into your smartphone to allow you to navigate even when you have zero services, AND to print paper maps based on your route. In addition, the Pro subscription gives access to LifeLine, which allows up to five emergency contacts access to your real-time location against your plotted route and will alert them if you’re overdue on a hike. Overall, it’s an excellent app for hikers to find, plan, and stay safe on the trail!

A black, compact camera accessory with a clip and two small rotating knobs is displayed on an orange background with a subtle geometric pattern.

Looking inside the SAHARA dehydrator

Food Dehydrator

A dehydrator would be an awesome gift for anyone who is interested in making their own backpacking/camping food, jerkies, and fruit leathers.

Our favorite mid-range dehydrator is this stainless steel Cosori with 6 trays. If you have a larger gifting budget and your recipient would appreciate something that takes up less space, this folding dehydrator from Brod & Taylor (pictured) has a great space saving design and is one of our top picks.
