Painted Hills in Oregon

The painted hills in Oregon are an incredible and out of this world landscape formed 35 million years ago.

This is a great place to start your exploration of the park. Walk up a wide path that will allow you to see the hills from various vantage points.


This 1.5 mile hike will give you a full view of the basin where the Painted Hills are located.


This is one of the most famous features in the park: a wooden boardwalk that snakes through red, orange, and pink hills.


A short path brings you around a singular, two toned hill—the front side is vivid red and the back side is yellow.
